I daren't try non alcoholic drinks in case I get the taste for it and slip back into going for the full fat version.

The one I had, something saints I think, made me want a real beer!

Ironically it gave me a massive headache

Ive never been a Guinness drinker, but its the right Ballance for me.

When I was recovering from Jaundice I got into drinking Kopparberg ⁰% cider.

Definitely on a hot day it went down well, apart from spiking the blood sugar levels.

Most soft drinks go down to quick with me, and I dont get that pub feel.

Yet the Guinness tastes ok, and add health benifits, adding Iron to my diet and good gut health.

This is really good. Im on 13 weeks today of the beer.

Im getting a bit of a kick from feeling human again over the weekend.

No wine in the house tonight so we had to resort to Prosecco with our dinner. Mrs Mottie says it was better than the 'premium' proseccos she had on the ship last week. I had to check the label and i found that it came from…….Lidl! She was with me when we bought it and said it was only a fiver. I’ll get some more of that if they’ve got any left.

Finished off Friday nights Rosé with our pork chops and then finished off last nights Pinot.

6 weeks and still not touched a drop. I have found that it isn’t the drinking that I miss but the social side. Had a brilliant weekend and even though everyone was off their heads I remained completely sober and played my guitar for everyone on the camp site till the early hours and had a ball.
