Was that when there was 1/5 the number of cars on the road?I dont really I used to like driving and parking for free without the risk of a fine through the post.....its not enjoyable anymore.
And more robbing mayor's and councils, back handers galore.Actually a quick check says in 1970 it was around 12 million cars on the road, 1990 it hit 20 million and now it's about 35 million.
So there's a bit more competition for parking now.
Was that in your Nova when it was new or earlier?I dont really I used to like driving and parking for free
I'm not sure if corruption is worse or better now than it used to be, that's be an interesting question. And more robbing mayor's and councils, back handers galore.

A fairer way without spending a single penny let alone millions on ULEZ cameras would have been for khan to say "From today, only non compliant cars currently registered in the zone will be allowed to be driven in the zone and there will be a hefty fine (not a charge) if used in the zone. No new registrations in the zone of non compliant vehicles will be allowed. That way they would naturally expire over time and not have forced people into scrapping perfectly serviceable motor vehicles.
When all this was coming to a head, nobody within 50 miles of the ULEZ wanted to buy a non compliant vehicle. On the other hand, compliant vehicles within 50 miles of a ULEZ were going for stupid money. You weren’t anywhere near 50 miles of the ULEZ so don’t bother trying to tell me any different. That doesn't make any sense.
Nor was anyone forced to scrap "perfectly serviceable motor vehicles" : they could have flogged them to someone outside the area, no?
Bet he does.don’t bother trying to tell me any different.

If only we had another nearby region to compare it to, like Luton! If you walk past a queue of cars with their engines running it’s clear cut that manufacturers have made huge progress with making cleaner cars, vans and lorries.
This improvement in London is nothing but a coincidence to improved standards and nothing to do with ULEZ.

`As far as I am concerned, nobody should be driving into the city centre in London, it should be commuting only by train or bus which would solve a lot of issues.
