Chinese plug?

James, If you're disabled you can call this lot, or get your Occupational Therapist to call them:
https://www.remap.org.uk/
I got roped in and have done a number of simple things.
If it's beyond what a "home help" would do, they're worth a call.
Often all that's needed is a shorter/longer handle for something or something thinking up, or getting something to work where an able-bodied person wouldn't have a problem.
Putting a plug on is at the light end, certainly, but if there's someone local it's simple enough.

In the group I'm in we'd all check to see if you have RCD trips on your consumer unit, and if not, then think about using a portable one with this potentially dodgy electric thing.

That is terrific thank you. I have not heard of it.

Is there one in my area Junction 6 on M25?

Thanks again

There is often also help available from your local authority. I have had steps, grab handles external rails and handrails fitted and shower seats and stools supplied.

It arrived apparently from Italy.

Nothing on it to say it is Pifco but is very solid and a 13 amp fuse.

Thanks again
JamesEB

I haven't tried it yet in case it blows up the Chinese foot warmer. Any advice please?

My best guess, having seen it before, is that the adapter socket is just a bit stiff. It probably needs a *really* good push.

I think you should try contacting the organisation mentioned above and see if they can offer you some help.
Ban-all-sheds helpfully gave a link for you to click on to find the contact details of the branch nearest to you. See post #50.

I guess it is the shutters on the adapter making it difficult to go in.
But if you really can't get any help you are stuffed. What about the people mentioned a few posts up or your local authority?
You said in the plumbing forum that you are going away for Christmas. Is there anyone where you are going able to help if you took the foot warmer with you?
