As long as weak politicians like Bozza appeal to populistic ideals then party politics will always be secondary. The gullible masses need only a frontman and an architect and a willing press to achieve their goal. I reckon this is all just a show. Boris is losing support in government and from voters. Everybody hates Dom Cummings since he went for his eye test. Brexit looking a bit iffy, and we're in lockdown again. So, Cummings resigns, but they decide to make it look like Boris is sacking him, thus gaining support from government and voters. Cummings is just the fall guy. He's done the job he came in to do and will be living a life of luxury from now on, while we all suffer the consequences. Him being sacked was his final spin!
I think he left because Johnson has decided to ditch brexit and ask to stay in the EU.
