Holy Smoke

Drugs that are giving the user hallucinations and is sat on a bus or train next to you, be ok with that would you?

Maybe, maybe not - it would depend on how that person was manifesting their hallucinations.

But given a choice between being sat on a bus or a train next to someone like that, and being sat on a bus or a train driven by somebody who'd recently swallowed a number of prescribed co-codamols....

If you sincerely believe that, changing the law would alter the effect of the substances.
As it stands, it is a simple case of going into any supermarket or even a garage to buy alcohol, buying drugs isn't that easy. Your average person on the street would not even know how to buy illegal drugs, are you suggesting it would be better to give more people the opportunity to buy drugs much simpler than the system currently is? Perhaps we should become a nation of drug addicts and advertise them on the TV.

In that case, why shouldn't the UK ban advertising alcohol in case we turn into a nation of alcoholics?
Drinking and driving is far more dangerous.

Humans and medicinal plants have coexisted for epochs. Just the pain killing qualities alone means - not without drugs, no.
Don't try to be clever as you are not, talking about legalising drugs here not pain killing, it's about getting high as a kite.

talking about legalising drugs here not pain killing
No, not me. I made a statement.....
The point is humans could happily thrive without having to consume alcohol.
And you asked me to clarify by asking..

But not without drugs
To which I replied...

Humans and medicinal plants have coexisted for epochs. Just the pain killing qualities alone means - not without drugs, no.

You might be ok living without alcohol but you are in the minority. I like getting drunk it is recreational and socially acceptable.
