New brexit postage stamps

There were plenty of people who thought they wouldn't be able to go on holiday to benidorm if we left the EU.
We haven't left yet.

Perhaps they believe stuff they read in newspapers. There are plenty of people who believe the UK will be poorer when we leave the EU. Quitters and remoaners alike. Ho hum.

Just remind us of one of the overwhelming demographic fact about the age of quitters.(y)

yes, true, but to be fair and balanced, one should take into account the overwhelming demographic of those enfranshised who didn't bother to vote.

To my mind this whole brexit thing is rubbish, it could have been settled quite easily. A stop to free movement, with a skills/needs based criteria for immigration to all member states, lets keep it fair and the rest including the ECJ, would have been fine for the majority of quitters.

Without an agreement over ECAA, they might have to go by boat, or fly Air France, Lufthansa, et al.

They can still go, however their £s will buy them less of a holiday, more bargain basement than holiday.

If the government had processed the rules properly, according to UK's and EU's guiding principles, the argument probably would never have arisen.
At least, the quitters would never have been able to argue that all immigrants are scroungers.

Again, probably true.

It's too easy (and lazy) to blame immigrants for the state of our nation, we need to look at the root and branch causes... lack of opportunities, regional divides, an utterly dysfunctional housing market, appalling inequality.... then.. just then, we might make some progress.

politicians want the free movement off unskilled cheap labour most business models rely on cheap unregulated labour to some extent

cheap labour

If only there was some way of setting the Minimum amount of money that people were paid, to an amount that you could live on.

What would we call this Wage?

Maybe the Government could be given responsibility for setting it.

Do you think there is any political party that might take on this responsibility?
