I would say that its about the average of what I see in London!
Tony
I never said that it was good!!!
But it may not look very nice but still quite workable.
Now this afternoon I saw a much worse one!!! The flue had multiple faults! The gas isolation valve had been fitted to the CH flow! A CH isolation valve had been fitted to the gas but that was stolen by the BG man who came and capped off the gas supply.
The BG man said he would come and correct it but never came back. The Owner thought he would be coming under the BG banner but I think he was intending to come on a homer.
BG were
less than honest! they had taken 18 months of insurance cover but when they did come they found multiple faults and cancelled the cover but did not refund the payments.
An Iranian who said he was CORGI took some money and was never seen again. Now its down to me to fix it.
BG had not identified the real fault either! They blamed the flue whereas the real fault was the boiler flue elbow seal was missing.
The boiler had been installed by a non reg subcontractor to the plumber who quoted for the job.
Thats quite a clever subterfuge! The non reg plumber quotes £3300 for a boiler and four rads and says he will get a CORGI to fit the boiler. Gets some third world non reg but by then the trail is distant and identities have been lost !!!
Quite clever!
The Owner, from Afghanistan, has little knowledge of whos who and employs any third world person introduced by his countrymen without a CORGI in sight.
Thats the senario I see every week!!!
CORGI will not do anything to investigate these people and they just carry on unhindered!
I post all this information weekly on public forums but CORGI have NEVER contacted me with proposals to do anything to stop the deceipt !
The one who may lose out is the genuine plumber who quoted for the CH installation as he has given a name and address and the architect might just decide to claim compensation for the unsafe boiler installation.
