I suppose now we will have people protesting that it is not only Catholics who do such things.

I'd have a much stronger word in mind for them.
The Catholic Church is renown for its abuse of its parishioners world wide.
It was only June this year I believe that the Pope made it a crime not to report it.

It isn't only Catholics, It's very rife in the Jehovah Witnesses groups as well.
"The group has a policy of not punishing alleged child sex abuse unless a second person, alongside the accuser, has witnessed it - or an abuser confesses."

It's exactly like talking to someone who is pee'd out their brains, and you are stone cold sober, you'd don't get a smidgeon of sense out of them.

The Roman Catholic church is a magnet for perverts.
The celibacy rule was introduced to keep heterosexuals out.
If the celibacy rule was abandoned and normal men and women were allowed to become priests it could help reduce the level of Paedophilia in the organisation.

Are you saying that under Vatican law it wasn't a crime to not report abuse.
