So what’s Boris going to announce tonight?

The government have got everyone focused on voting for more draconian restrictions because they're hooked on scare tactics. They seem to be overlooking that the 'second wave' is actually a mere blip in mortality figures. Totally blind to the fact that the economy will be completely ruined, mental health will be the real epidemic, looming mass unemployment, homelessness and other health conditions are virtually being ignored. I know this last point to be a fact, as a friend of the family is a top neurosurgeon and he has hardly worked for the NHS for several months now. Still on full pay and so bored he's going to go back to private work. Some of his colleagues are in the same boat. Not even like they're being re-deployed to help elsewhere - just left twiddling their thumbs while non-Covid patients suffer. But keep hanging on Johnson's platitudes, false bon homie and colourful prose. He can get you all to focus on the small water leak in the basement whilst the rest of the house is burning down.

And isn't the NHS always overstretched at this time of year?

Remember March 23, 2020? 3 weeks to flatten the curve and save the NHS?

We cannot remember him actually saying what we have to do or when we have to do it that is any different to tier4?
Rather than watch the media make sheet up beforehand we watched something more interesting instead.

My wife is well peed off, some at the supermarket will be sent home again and she will be told (not asked) that she has to cover their shifts, put herself more at risk because they will not stop the fukwits that refuse to wear masks properly from coming in.

No debate, no vote, just a decree...

Well he's said it, Labour have agreed with it so who do you think will put a stop to it - the Lib Dem’s? Perhaps they should just waste time debating it to make you feel better. :)

Edit: I take that back, the Lib Dem’s are backing Boris's decision too. How is this a decree when practically all of parliament is backing the decision? Who are you expecting to debate and vote on it?

Anyone got any suggestions as to what should have been done instead of lockdown?

Get rid of Boris. He can't make the hard decisions. So he let kids mix around for an extra day for what?

First lockdown he messed up. Second lockdown he dismissed circuit break and did it again too late.

The man is an imbecile. Get someone else in charge.

Schools have shut, as everyone knew they had to. Just after a few weeks of mucking around and wasting everyone's time, preventing any preparation.
