The NHS is fit for purpose but it's being starved of money.

If you bothered to check the stats you would see the NHS has pretty good results when compared with other health services. It's miles above the American system which costs over twice as much.

And as for saying the workforce have pizz poor ethics and a chip on their shoulder, you clearly don't know people who work in the NHS or the level of their dedication.

They won't miss the NHS until its gone.

for all its faults, having a health service that is free at the point of entry is an amazing thing.

many people in America wont call an Ambulance because of the risk of getting a huge bill -typically its around $2000 plus for an ambulance to come, take you to hospital, get checked by a doctor, have some tests, get a prescription and go home.

The American "system" is awful, but there are so many people, and wealthy corporations, making a lot of money out of it, that they won't give up easily.
