What have you stopped doing or buying due to rising costs?

if you have nothing, you have nothing to lose.

Are you Bob Dylan?

Princess on the steeple and all the pretty people
They're drinkin', thinkin' that they got it made
Exchanging all kinds of precious gifts and things
But you'd better lift your diamond ring, you'd better pawn it babe
You used to be so amused
At Napoleon in rags and the language that he used
Go to him now, he calls you, you can't refuse
When you ain't got nothing, you got nothing to lose
You're invisible now, you got no secrets to conceal.

How does it feel
How does it feel
To be on your own
With no direction home
Like a complete unknown
Like a rolling stone?

Am considering a wood burner to reduce gas consumption but research tells me the particulates are bad.....

Have you seen the cost of seasoned wood? And the buy in price is horrendous.
HETAS guys are even dearer than GAS SAFE, and they have never even necessarily done an apprenticeship

Filton?
Talking of which, I remember seeing a list of Concorde registrations beginning with G-BOAA.
Of course, BOAC was the name of the airline. Was G-BOAC ever issued?

Talking of which, why is BA's call sign Speedbird?

I know BA was formed out of a merger of the three nationalised airlines (one of which was BOAC) and they used Speedbird, but beyond that, I don't know.

True. You've found the fourth tourist attraction is Bristol. Though the Concorde museum wasn't there when I was showing a tourist from SA around - it was still flying. If you've visiting, don't forget the local currency - Bristol pounds. Accepted in all fine pasty retailers.

I have stopped washing my recycling using hot water.

If cold water cannot wash it then that's all it gets.

We are told that a piece of dirty recycling can cause the entire batch to be sent straight to landfill, however on the other hand we are also told that our recycling doesn't get recycled either and ends up in landfill.

If we ever get put on a water meter then even cold tap water may stop getting used for it, not sure what to do then.

Saturday take-aways have also stopped, saving us about £25 a week.

We get told a contaminated load will get the whole lot rejected, but not heard that dirty stuff suffers the same fate.

AFAIK, all the recycling goes through a washing process.

They should employ young fit unemployed people to sort all waste, not just the recycling treatment places, but the tips as well. In return, they get their benefits.

Yes. And us generation X'rs should man the guard towers surrounding the premises where such duties are performed.

What happened to the idea of getting people into work and off benefits?
Suddenly everybody wants people to get paid benefits instead of a salary.

Did the bridge, did the zoo, did Weston Super Mare, did the shops, boat trip along the river. I like Bristol.

Zoo is closing soon. Weston Super Mud is just pier, donkeys and kiss-me-quick. Bristol is quite a nice city, if you like cities. Being invaded by the white flight from London pumping big money into houses. Traffic and parking getting stoopid, and our diverse mayor uuank Marvin Rees is imposing a ulezzer zone on us to pick our pockets even more. I'm bailing soon. Fact!
