It would seem to me, that white people are already supportive, or are vehemently opposed to BLM.
It's not a campaign trail where an election is the end result. White people either believe that Chauvin killed George Floyd, or they seek to excuse it as justifiable homicide. If it hadn't been for BLM, it's very possible that Chauvin would still be policing and ready to kill again.

If their message was more conciliatory they would get further.

What do you suggest?

If that was a rant, then every substantive argument, in your opinion, will always be a rant if it disagrees with your opinion.
