What a surprise the EU has offered us longer

I think you're missing the point, being they're not doing what people want them to do.

It's not a sovereignty issue, it's a complete disregard for what people were expecting them to do with it, issue.
Absolutely thankyou

And this will have significant repercussions to both main parties if this carries on being a farce.

It ain't me that's missing the point...

Do you actually understand what our 'parliamentary democracy' is?

We elect representatives, but they are not bound by any obligation to do 'what people want them to do'!

'Expect' all you like...

But our electoral system means that as soon as you have given back the pencil you borrowed in order to scrawl in a box on a piece of paper, you have handed over your right to dictate to whoever gets to come top of the dung heap that time around...

If you believe otherwise, then you are seriously deluded!

And that's the problem. No matter how you dress it up or try and present it as though I or others don't understand it. Or that it's a debate about sovereignty.

The fact of the matter is the majority expected something completely different to what they're getting no matter how you dress it up lal.

We all heard the talk from Cameron and May before this **** show kicked off and so far we've had nothing but the opposite to what they told us we would get.

Now it looks less likely that it'll happen at all.

If no deal is off the table then that is the end of Brexit.

Silly vinty was given a fake polling slip.

Apart from silly vinty, not many people would have voted for the second option.

The majority of people in NI certainly didn't.

What do you think the majority expected, and how have you formed your opinion?

Going down the route of rehashing the same old debate eh John?

That's twice tonight you've quoted me and both times you shouldn't have bothered wasting your own time and mine.

John will willingly ignore every campaign message that said a vote to leave is a vote to leave the customs Union and single market while at the same time remaining absolutely convinced that it's what was written on the side of a bus that caused the majority to vote leave.

Then at the end of it, he puts it down to the wording of the ballot paper.

Silly John.

Well don't give us that impression then

The fact of the matter is that 35% of the electorate didn't know what they were actually voting for, regardless of what they were expecting.
It's easy to spout phrases like 'we're getting our country back', but when you don't understand the political machinations of 'your country', then tough s hit!
Name me any time that any political party has stuck completely true to it's manifesto!

And we all heard the lies from the leave campaign...
Easiest deals in history my a rse!
And we were told all along by 'leave' that we would still be trading with the EU bloc...

I'd call it 50-50 at the moment, but hopefully sanity will prevail and by whatever means the madness of brexit will be cancelled!

If given the Vote in 1939

Neville Chamberlain:
Let Hitler walk over Europe and Germany will leave us alone.
IN

Winston Churchill:
We must fight for democracy
Out

The Question is:
In or Out

I think and hope Out.
Would have won. But would we have known what we were voting for ?

And we were told all along by 'leave' that we would still be trading with the EU bloc...

And we would do.

Has anyone asked the French German or Dutch workers. Do they still want to trade with us.
Being how it would effect the common Man, Woman. or Other. Did they get a say.

No.

If by stopping trade with us affects their lives. I believe they will have a say.

Let's remember every Saturday in Paris

Equating the EU with Nazi Germany is quite pathetic!

But hey, which 'bodd' are you anyway?

That fake dyslexia appears to have cleared up nicely again
