It isn't. Visiting a holiday home doesn't mean you're risking others. But it was a clear breach of the rules.

Moving in with your parents, likely elderly, when you've just found out you may have Covid-19, and bouncing between London and the North for weeks later, as it seems he now did, actually puts people at risk.

It doesn't matter where you're isolating. If you're not leaving a house in a Scottish village you're not doing much different from not leaving a house in Glasgow. But it's against the rules.

Putting people with Covid-19 into a home with otherwise healthy old people is pretty stupid. Also against the rules but might kill someone and it isn't protecting the NHS.

Anyone else would have to be sacked, but Dominic Cummings seems to be the brains behind this useless, so-called conservative government, therefore they won't get rid of him, he is all they've got. He is "Trumpian" in his contempt for the media (and everybody else it seems) so we will not get any contrition from him. The matter will all be smoothed over by Boris, with the script being written by Cummings. There is nothing good about Cummings or this government; the only good they are doing is keeping the Labour Party out.

I'll not hear anything bad about Cumming's wife though, Mary Wakefield, an interesting writer in the Spectator. Don't know what she sees in him.
