Asahi dry, in my cherished Euro2012 glass (y)

Did you make all that. It looks amazing. But I thought you were on holiday so taking it easy.
I cheated! On our way back from Longshaw, I popped into a Spar supermarket. They had a butchers counter with ready prepped meals. I bought a couple of ready prepped Duck a l'orange and dauphinois potatoes. Two for £15. I bought some fine beans to go with them and just popped the meals in the oven when I got back. They were bloody nice!

I had no idea Spar would do things like that. I would say that's a bargain!

Had a Guinness Zero in our not terribly local local The Aviator, built on the site of the Woodford Airfield.

Avro built the Vulcan bomber there, amongst many others. There is a museum there with XM603 outside. It's the only Vulcan in the world to be preserved with the anti-flash white paint finish.

My mate lent me the book 'Vulcan 607’ about the Vulcan bomber that bombed the runway on the Falklands. Great story, it was a hardback and I always read in bed before I go to sleep. The book cover was flapping about so I took it off and put it under the bed. Mrs Mottie was cleaning the bedroom and checked it away. When I gave it back to him, he asked for the cover. I told him it had been thrown away. It was a signed copy and the cover was signed by those that flew it! He's never forgiven me.

Anyway, back on topic. I had an Italian beer with the Thai fish curry Mrs Mottie cooked tonight.

Sainsbury’s house Malbec with our Sunday roast.. £4.69! Only 11% but tasted stronger to me.

Pìsswater tonight. The wine Nazi of the household goes on the ABV and unit count of each bottle.
