Whatever we pay them will just be short term pain, in the long run it won't really matter as long as we're out!

Both sides want the best of both sides. Out but free trade, smaller but same money.

doesn't seem beyond even the most retarded of negotiations.

Personally, I think we should get on with defining our desires beyond the EU and forget getting any kind of Brexit settlement

I don't think it would be too unkind to remind 25 countries of the EU that if it had not been for Great Britain and the rest of the English speaking world, they would all be speaking German now (with one possible exception - Spain). Still, *English* is the international language (much to the chagrin of the French - and no apologies for the use of a French word here either), not Krautish! The ones I feel sorry for are the former Warsaw Pact countries who saw the EU as liberation from the communist jackboot only to find, like Animal Farm, there was no difference between them!

That's right, rub their noses in it, and P**s them off even more. Why do you think the French hate us; we either beat them, or liberate them; either way, we show them up. Apart from Spain (ref Gibralter) I don't think the rest are that bothered about us one way or the other.

But there's a little bit of difference for the former Warsaw countries; Germany only tells them what to do, it doesn't send in the tanks to make sure they do it.

Talk about re-running a referendum: it looks like the quitters are re-running an argument until they hope to win it::rolleyes:

So who will pay for their retirement?
Ergo, there will be a bill to be paid!
And that is just a start.
If you work for a company with a pension scheme, then it is for the company to make provisions for that pension, not for the company to go to their customers to demand that the customer pays for the staffs pensions... If the EU haven't made provision, then it is none of our concern.

If you are paying their salaries, you are the employer!

Typical example of the RWR saying whatever comes into their head first and weaseling their way out of it later. :ROFLMAO:

I think I will respect my decision of a few days ago: I am bored with a battle of wits against unarmed opponents.

The EU pays their salaries, the EU is their employer

You seem to have great trouble making decisions and then sticking to them..
