Makaraka, a sauvignon blanc from Aldi, £4.99. Really quite nice.
Not bad with our roast lamb but at 14.5%, a bit stronger than we are used to.

A thumper indeed, heavy red for roast lamb, perfect for cutting through the "fatty" meat. Try a bottle of president XV, that's blows your brains out, it's nice as well. The XV gives a clue to it's ABV.
So as not to upset @Brigadier any further, I've gone down, yes down, from my usual fiver a bottle. £4.50 from Sainsbury’s to go with my Sea Bass, roast Mediterranean vegetables and sautéed potatoes. Living the life!
