What are you drinking tonight?

Does afternoon drinking count? We are self isolating after my missus got corona virus, not much else to do apart from his ‘n’ hers Jack Daniels and Coke.

We watched a load of George Clarke programs yesterday so I’m looking for a new house and she is looking at rear extensions.

So you're saying that wine is inert then?

By no means, opened wine slowly turns to vinegar, this is caused by acetobacter turning the ethanol to ethanoic acid (acetic acid). Acetobacter are aerobic bacteria and need oxygen to do their thing.

Went out and bought another bottle of Amaretto because I have finished the first one...this might last me until new year.

consistently drank 1-2 bottles of prosecco per day for at least the last 2 weeks.....see no signs of that ending

I don't know about letting wine "breath"; on the contrary I've heard tales from times past of putting unopened bottles of red in front of the fire and letting them heat up so much that the corks pop!

In my opinion red wine is definitely best at room temperature and not good freezing cold like lager. This is a good one, from Morrisons:

currently on the second bottle of prosecco of the day.....wasn't chilled but a couple of ice cubes fixes that. how is wine enjoyed? however YOU want it.

I'm not keen on any drink (or food) that is too cold. I prefer beer and red wine at room temperature, whilst I think white wine is horrible if not chilled. A pet hate is the current fad for ultra-cold beer. I used to drink draught Guinness but you cannot get it anywhere now where it is not as cold as ice cream, not even in Ireland.

Ha! I'm talking as if the pubs are still open.
