Two policemen have been taken off operational duty after they smashed the window and kicked the windscreen of a pensioner's car.

They should now be charged with assault and criminal damage. What total absolute prats.

Range Rover? Personal plates? They should have tazered him too.

If he was that doo lally that he thought they were escorting him home because he'd had a stroke he shouldn't even have a license.

What comes accross in this story if you read it is a guy totally ignoring the police when spoken to and driving off when they were still questioning him.

If you read what he says you can see he was trying it on. for example 'I thought the blue lights were me beig escorted home'.

However since the original offence was not wearing a seatbelt you would have thought that was something they could have dealt with later visiting his home. It hardly needed the extreme actions of the Police in this case.
Considering he alledgedly wasn't wearing a seatbelt you must also question the wisdom of using a stinger.
This vehicle didn't come up uninsured or stolen so the actions by these officers was extremely heavy handed and disporportionate.

The OAP certainly doesn't seem in a hurry to exit his vehicle. Would anyone on here resist getting out of their car if the police stop them in this way?
I'm not defending the police action, but any sensible person would have got out of the car straight away. I think he seems to be playing the "I'm an OAP card very well."

You gotta be careful though John, get out too quick and plod 'could' say they felt threatened!

On the other hand, if someone is trying to break your side window in a frenzied attack and his mate is on yout bonnet kicking the merde ouf ot your windscreen then would you not be a bit unwilling to leave your car?

yet another example of their behaviour, yet idiots on here will still defend them. and of course they will get away with it as usual
Yes them OAPs get my goat too!

haha very funny!! not!

so how would you feel when 2 oaf's are smashing you car to pieces all because they think they can get away with it?
I hope he presses charges for criminal damage to his car, threatening behaviour, intimidation and assault.

The police were a bit heavy handed but what did he think was going to happen if he drove off whilst still being questioned then not stopping when they had blues & two's on?

If he had been a ***** and not an OAP then everyone would be applauding the police.

personally having had a bit of a dig around

i think he knew exactly what he was doing

BUT

that still dosent justify the actions of the plod

As we've seen previously they don't follow ****** onto their site so if he'd been a ***** they wouldn't have followed him as they'd say they feared for their safety!

I think this is a case of a pensioner trying it on with the old bill, and the old bill getting a bit naffed off with the silly old barstuard pulling the pensioner ticket once to often.
If it had been me he'd of got a good kicking as well for resisting arrest.
One less pension we have to sub
