Not normally a Monday wine drinker but I was making a chicken, mushroom and pea risotto tonight and I needed 50ml of white wine so I had to open a bottle. Once opened, it would be rude not to indulge so I had a nice Picpoul tonight. ;)

Yesterday, we had Moroccan Beef (well it began with M) and the sauce turned out to be a bit firey. She walked in 30 minutes ago with another dish for me to try - the sauce for beef stroganoff, that she had made a few weeks ago and frozen. It was still cold, but it tasted fine, so I asked when we were having that - "Oh, it's not for us, it's for the dog, I over cooked the beef."

I'm a food taster for the dog now!
Had Mrs Motties favourite tonight - Fluerie with venison, mustard mash, purple sprouting broccoli and a mushroom, red wine, redcurrant 'jus'. (A.K.A. Poncey gravy)
